Communicative Competence


Introduction

The next video contains a perception from the Proffesor Jack C. Richards' concept about communicative competence explained in his videos. It is a video of eight minutes where the two videos are put together considering the important aspects of each video and with my own application in the evaluation aspect.







Explanation

Communicative Competence is a term wich is closely related with linguistic competence, defined as the development of grammatical structure in a language. To master our language means how we improve our use of the language applying it in different contexts and with different people. The Communicative Competence refers to how capable we are to expres what we feel or think considering the five strengths of CC: Accuracy, fluency, complexity, appropriacy and capacity. As teacher one way to work on the communicative competence during the course would be basing syllabus on functions, tasks, fluency activities, texts and contexts.


Conclusion

To do this video took me around three hours, it was really hard to get it right, the words, the terms, all of it was difficult to memorize so i didn´t. I analyzed the information and gave my best interpretation of it.

    Hi Isaias!
    I think you did a great job in this video! However I think you commited some mistakes in the introduction of your entry. The first thing I could see is that you talk about the perception of Richards and that make me think the video is about Richards' words, not yours. You can say "is my perception of communicative competence explained by Jack C. Richards." Also, I noticed that in this part: "a perception from the Proffesor Jack C. Richards' concept about communicative competence" the word "concept" is not neccessary it sounds repetitive, just skip it and the meaning will be the same.
    In the explanation part I think you should write "Maestering our language means" instead of "To master our language". It sounds better :) You also skipped an "s" in the word "express".

    hello isaias, i like what you did, i mean, i liked it that you give us an explanation of communicative competence after of explained on your video, talkin about the video was great but i think that you should provided more examples to understand better what are you saying.

    Hello! Your video is a good job. I think you explained the terms in a proper way, but in the explanation of your topic, on the first line you wrote "wich" and is "which"

Due to external causes the video is done individually. The topics covered in it are: Evaluation, Assessment and Testing. Assessment Conclusion This was the hardest video to make.. A lot of terms, complex information and aplications. Oune hour recording and eve more time memorizing the information. Finally when the video was done i realize how much i had learnt. How does it work for the teacher, classmates and yourself? The teacher use blogger as a platform where the students’ products can be checked easily, instructions, advices and indications are specified in a main blog controlled by the teacher so students are able to interpret information in one only way due to the clarity and authenticity of information. The relation between classmates sharing their blogs is a huge feedback device, interactions turns into something necessary to make a significant progress in the classroom. An atmosphere of respect is essential for healthy interaction, a space where ideas and opinions can be shared to improve. In my own experience this blog has become a new experience in the process of teaching and learning, I could show my perspective and look for new opinions from my partners.
